http://www.pmnw.co.uk/ This is the official website of the Prison Me No way!!! group who aim to educate and empower young people so that they don’t end up in prison. It also includes a history of prison and interactive elements.

http://www.walksonthewildeside.co.uk/ An excellent interactive resource looking at many aspects of 19th century life in Newcastle. It includes a section on Crime and Punishment.

(4) Prisons and Prison reform

http://howardleague.netefficiency.co.uk/index.php?id=historyofprison. These pages are part of the Howard League for Penal Reform web site and give a concise history of the prison reform movement.

http://www.innocentuntilprovenguilty.com/index.html. The campaign for prison reform is still ongoing. This site is produced by the Prisons Reform Trust and draws attention to the state of prisons today and the need for change.
